What is the desired wedding attire? Is there a dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. Feel free to get as dressy as you want!
Are kids welcome to the wedding reception and/or other events?
While we love your little ones and our own, our wedding reception will be an adults-only event. We greatly appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us. Kids are welcome to attend the wedding ceremony.
Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?
We will be saying our “I Dos” in lovely Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet located at 1931 Brookgreen Drive. When you pull into the parking lot you’ll be guided to the location. Golf cart attendants will take anyone who needs assistance.
Is there a wedding registry to give gifts?
We are so thankful you will be joining us for our special weekend. Making this trip to celebrate with us is a gift in itself and physical gifts are absolutely not necessary.
Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?
Yes, we will accommodate dietary needs. Please message us in advance or let your server know.
Any suggestions for what to see and do in town for extended stays?
There’s the beach of course, but also many fun shops in PI as well as the boardwalk in Murrells Inlet and Georgetown isn’t too far and a nice little town to visit. We highly recommend it if you have time touring Brookgreen before or after the wedding. It’s spectacular. We also recommend restaurant reservations ahead of time. Our favorites close by are Bistro 217, Chive Blossom, Franks, Perrones, Cafe Piccolo, Rustic Table, Quigleys and more. Also look at restaurants in Murrells Inlet and Georgetown.
Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on Social Media?
You’re welcome to take as many pictures as you’d like but we prefer you not post on social media until we do.
Where should I park?
Upon arrival to Brookgreen Gardens, guests are encouraged to park at the Leonard Pavilion parking area for easy access to their cars at the end of the evening. Golf carts will be available to transport those with mobility issues to the ceremony site. Please follow the signs to the Leonard Pavilion for parking.
