It all began late at night on June 17th, 2020 with a simple message on Bumble from Michelle "Hey what's up!?" When I replied "Hey! Nothing much just watching the Office lol how about you?". We then began to talk about work and from there on for the first time in my life I felt a real strong feeling of connection to someone.

Our conversations on Bumble would continue for three weeks of endless talk about dogs, the Rangers, travel aspirations, TV shows (Friends) college experiences and much more. Then at long last I finally got the courage to ask for her number (thankfully I was successful) and then a few days later I asked her to go on a date for some lunch and for a covid friendly hike at the Ramapo Reservation.

On Sunday July 12th, 2020 we met up for our lunch at Stateline Diner. The lunch lasted a few hours and then we went to the reservation where we we hiked to the end of the reservation and then walked up a little rocky hill where we then sat for 7 hours and just talked about everything. It was our moms who interrupted our date concerned that it was getting late and they had not heard from us! It was the best first date I ever had, I never wanted to leave. I knew on that date I had met my best friend, the person who I'd want to spend forever with.

One date quickly turned into two three, four, and many more. Before you knew it we were spending every wakening second of our free time with each other and after work we would always FaceTime. After 6 months we decided to move into our first apartment in White Plains, where we began our life together.

On March 5th, 2022, it came full circle as I popped the question where it all began for us back at the reservation, the place where the story of us began!
