The answer to the question, how did we meet, depends on who you ask.

We actually met over 30 years ago in high school, we just don’t really remember it. We were at the same proms, but with different people. Chris was the guy that stepped in when one of his cousin’s friends needed a date for prom. That same cousin just so happened to be one of my best friends.

Then many years later, fate stepped in. Or maybe, it was his Aunt Theresa? That’s what we both choose to believe.

And no, it wasn’t technically at a funeral like so many people think. Although you have to admit, that has all the makings for a great story. Someone we both loved dearly (his Aunt Theresa) passed away, and we ran into each other a week BEFORE the funeral, and instantly connected. I personally think it was the chocolate chip cookies I baked and brought over, but who’s to say. 🤷🏻‍♀️🍪

And on the day of the actual funeral, we spent the entire night on the phone. The ENTIRE night.

And so our love story began...❤️
