Julie and I have been besties since kindergarten. I spent many days and nights at the Bump household. We participated in school activities together and even invented the Clear Cart at Event Iowa. Surprisingly, no one wanted to invest in our invention! (Who really enjoys opening up the lid on eggs at the store?) Julie and I were also teammates in basketball volleyball, softball, swimming and soccer. I have very few memories without Julie during my upbringing in Washington. If I was in a dark back alley, I’d for sure want Julie by my side 💪.  She and her husband Matt run a gym in Altoona Iowa, and have two beautiful twins who keep them on their toes.

Lindsay and I became good friends in fourth grade sharing a homeroom teacher. We grew our friendship through middle school, participating in sporting events and band. Despite me moving thousands of miles away to Arizona, we have continued our strong friendship. We’ve had many long phone calls, supporting each other in the ups and downs of life. Lindsay has the greenest thumb I’ve ever seen. She is a nuclear medicine technologist at the University of Iowa.

While I knew Bethany in church activities, we didn’t become super close until our junior high years. Bethany helped me get through several semesters of Spanish class. I have amazing memories of slumber parties on her square couch, enjoying delicious monkey bread made by her mom, and then our later years,  margaritas and fresh pies. We both went through the unimaginable loss of our mothers within 12 months and know both of them will spend the day watching us on my special day. Bethany and her husband Ike have been traveling the country in their motorhome since the beginning of 2025.

Danielle was a great mentor as I started my career in broadcast journalism. From my internship, leading up to producing the 10 pm show, Danielle was always a great peer. We spent many early Saturday and Sunday mornings together as I produced Today in Iowa and she was the anchor. I’m blessed to get to see Danielle more often now as she relocated to Cedar Rapids to continue her journalism career at KCRG. Be sure to ask her about her dogs. She can almost field a baseball team!

Rachel is my cousin and one of my closest friends here in Arizona. While we grew up states away, we spent many summers on the farm in Iowa while her family visited. She’s always a great sounding board.

Whitney is not only my sister-in-law but also a true blessing in our family. She’s married to my brother Tony, and together they’ve built a beautiful life and family. Whitney is incredibly dependable, kind, and full of grace—qualities that shine through in everything she does. I'm deeply grateful for her presence in my life and especially thankful for the joy she's brought to our family, including my amazing niece and nephews. I couldn't ask for a better sister-in-law (or partner-in-planning!).

Miss sweet Nora is sugar and spice and everything nice! Our beautiful 4-year-old niece keeps things exciting and silence is rare when around her. While she appears shy, don’t turn your back on her. She will keep you on your toes, is usually in charge, and isn’t afraid of a challenge. Her favourite food is beans. She loves our dog Jazzy and claims to be her sister 😆.

Eli (9) and Ari (7) are our sweet, smart, and endlessly creative nephews. These two are bursting with energy, imagination, and curiosity—and they’re already showing what it means to be thoughtful big brothers to their little sister, Nora. Whether they’re earning badges in Cub Scouts, showing off their swim skills in Aunt Shell’s pool, or kicking the ball around on the soccer field, they do it all with big hearts and even bigger smiles. We’re so lucky to have them in our lives!

I've known Brett since 1988 (maybe even 1987) when we lived around the corner from each other. From elementary school all the way through high school, we shared classrooms, sports fields, and countless memories. We played football, basketball, and track & field throughout junior high and high school. When not playing sports there was a good chance we were together playing video games, TP’ing someone's house, or thinking up our next project. After college, Brett moved to Southern California, where he now lives in Costa Mesa with his wife, Julia, and their two children.

Paul and I knew each other growing up, but became close friends in junior high when he started at North Decatur. We played football together through high school and spent countless hours doing what you'd expect in the country… like spraying unsuspecting people with a jimmy-rigged windshield washer nozzle or making his Isuzu P'up (truck) backfire on command while driving through town. Today, Paul lives in Decatur County with his wife, Nicole, and their three children.

I first met Blake our freshman year at Hanover College on the basketball team. We were also fraternity brothers (Fiji). After college Blake moved to Florida and we stayed in touch with annual trips to Las Vegas along with attending major sporting events like a Kimbo Slice fight (IYKYK). Blake now lives in Boynton Beach with his wife, Julie, and two children.

Billy and I first met back in the summer of 2009 at a basketball referee camp in Phoenix. What started as a few conversations on ways to become a better referee turned into one of my closest friendships since moving to Arizona. In the offseason we've had the opportunity to play many rounds of golf, take a few baseball road trips together, and dine at some of the best restaurants in Phoenix - assuming I can manage to stay out long enough. Between karaoke and unscripted replay announcements, Billy is a natural entertainer. He lives in Glendale, AZ.

I first met Nayan through work in 2016. In 2020 I had the opportunity to join his team, Silver Lining Wealth Advisors. Nayan has not only been an amazing mentor in my career, but a great friend. Over the past five years I've been lucky enough to be invited to a number of holidays, family events, and out of town trips. Nayan lives in Paradise Valley with his wife, Jenny, and three girls.

We’re thrilled so many of our family and friends are travelling to Arizona. We’ll be hosting an open house on Friday, April 24 so we can spend additional time with all of you before the big day! More details to come.

It's looking to be a perfect weekend! We're expecting temps in the low 80's and cloud cover for our big day! It will be a beautiful night! If you are traveling in, temperatures will be in the low 60's when you wake up.... so enjoy a morning hike or walk in the Arizona dessert before you start your day! The 30- minute wedding ceremony will be outside and we will have water available. The cocktail reception will be in a covered area outside. The dinner will take place inside.
