Charlie and Michelle met online, via the app Bumble in 2019. Charlie had recently moved back to Portland, after being in New Mexico for several years, and Michelle was in her final year of grad school. Neither of them were looking for anything serious (isn't that what people always say, though?).

After chatting online for a week, they met in person at Michelle's apartment, where they talked for hours and got to know each other better. A few dates and a pandemic later, the rest is history!
