Michelle's POV

Seth and I met at church! Specifically at The Harbor, a young adult ministry of Calvary Chapel in Melbourne (Florida not Australia). Seth knew my sister Natalie before he met me because they worked on the same floor. They recognized each other at The Harbor one day and that's when Natalie introduced me to Seth. (Thank you Natalie!)

Whenever we hung out it was with friends - going to the movies, community bonfires, ultimate frisbee, etc. We had spent time together as good friends (in my mind). So when Seth asked me out on a coffee date back in February 2022, I was not prepared but thought "why not?" I remember the shock on his face as he was registering that I had said yes and his response was "Wait - really!?"

The coffee date turned into an all day date! We went to Foxtail Coffee as planned and I guess time flew by because Seth had errands to run in preparation for a hot pot dinner he was hosting and asked if I wanted to join him. After grocery shopping we got Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Following lunch we went and played ultimate frisbee with some friends. Everyone was hungry after and decided to go to Chick-Fil-A (oops) so Seth and I went but didn't get anything. We ended up getting phó for dinner afterwards! We made it official in March of 2022, got engaged in July of 2024, and are set to be married this year!

Seth's POV

Michelle and I got introduced to each other at church (shout out to Natalie) and found ourselves hanging out with each other within our friend group. We started to find common interest in the shows, movies, games, food(specifically asian food) that we enjoyed. I knew after a few weeks of hanging out I wanted to ask her out, it was just a matter of finding the courage to do so. After multiple chats with family and friends about asking, I finally got the courage to do it.

One Sunday after church I got to talking about the Asian market here in Melbourne that Natalie and Michelle were going to. I casually invited myself along saying that i needed some items to make beef udon... This was going to be my opportunity to ask Michelle out. All I had to do was get Michelle away from Natalie for a minute to ask the question. That turned out to be a lot harder than I thought, so I opted to ask another time. However, the trip was not a failure. We did talk about our enjoyment of hotpot. I wanted to impress and show off a little so I set up a hot pot dinner and got her number.

Leading up to the hot pot dinner we were leaving church one Thursday and we outpaced the group we were walking with. This was my opportunity. I was about to put the upcoming hot pot dinner in jeopardy and finally ask. I pulled the trigger and she "really" said yes. After our all day first date we had a few more dates in the upcoming month and we decided to make it official in March of 2022. Fast forward a couple years and we got engaged and are on our way to get married!
