Seth and Michelle first met on a blind date at a local brunch spot, Kaleidoscope, in December 2018. There was instant chemistry as they talked for hours. They grew closer after meeting each other’s friends and exploring all of the fun that Atlanta had to offer. It did not take long for them to realize that what they had together is special.

Seth and Michelle have had their share of hardships during their time together. They experienced family emergencies, broken bones, a very sick puppy, a hospitalization, and even TWO total loss apartment fires. Through it all, it became clear that they are the perfect team. They both learned how to lean on each other for strength and comfort, especially during difficult situations.

Their first “I love you” came at no other place than their favorite dog park, Fetch. Romantic, right??

The last 2 years brought more laughs and smiles than ever before. They are each other's missing piece. Seth and Michelle love traveling, going to sporting events, and their pup-- Maggie May. The future Joneses can’t wait for all of adventures that life has in store for them.

THE PROPOSAL

Seth determined it was finally time to pop the question and wanted to ensure the day would be one to remember. After extensive communication with both his and Michelle’s family, college friends, and local friends the plan came together better than anyone could have hoped for.

On Saturday, February 20th, Seth organized brunch at Two Urban Licks under the guise of a birthday celebration for Kelly Thompson, one of Michelle’s bridesmaids. Two Urban Licks is a restaurant located on the Beltline, a walking trail/foodie spot where Seth and Michelle made many of their early relationship memories. It also wouldn’t have been the perfect proposal without stopping for a pre-brunch beer at their favorite local brewery, New Realm.

As brunch was ending, Seth suggested walking over to Ponce City Market to go browse for some clothes. After some convincing, Michelle was on board with that plan. As they were walking over, Seth pointed out the various locations that memories had been made. Of course, many of these memories were made with their puppy, Maggie May.

They both strolled along the sidewalk with the Ponce sign in the background, then Seth took both of Michelle’s hands and got down on one knee. Seth asked for her hand in marriage, and of course Michelle agreed (as only a fool would say no). As they were embracing, cheers came from across the street where Michelle’s mother, father, and grandmother were standing alongside Seth’s mother, father, sister, and aunt. After a brief picture session, Seth and Michelle made their way over to the Terrapin Taproom, located in the Battery, where the Braves play their home games. Friends and family greeted them, traveling from as far away as Denver, Dallas, Houston, and Guymon, OK.

The day was perfect and enjoyed by all. Seth and Michelle cannot wait to celebrate the culmination of their relationship on March 12, 2022.
