Hugging California's coastal bluffs, overlooking the surf and sand of sunny Pismo Beach is Pismo Lighthouse Suites, a vibrant all-suite oceanfront Pismo Beach hotel. It is located next to the Shore Cliff Hotel where the ceremony will be held. Spend your days soaking up panoramic views of the California coast from our heated pool and hot tub; play like a kid again with a game of badminton, ping pong, or life-size chess on our dynamic open-air play deck, or simply work on your tan while perched in an Adirondack chair. This dog-friendly accommodations features suites with free WiFi, includes a coffee machine, a mini-fridge, a microwave and 2 flat-screen TVs. Select suites offer a comfortable living area opening to a private patio or balcony. Guests can enjoy tea and coffee in the lobby, as well as a biscuit upon check-in. An extended hot continental breakfast buffet is also offered at the property.

Pismo Lighthouse Suites

Located on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Shore Cliff Hotel offers spacious guest rooms with free WiFi and panoramic views. It features a heated outdoor oceanfront pool, and a hot tub. Pismo Beach town center is 1 mi away. A flat-screen cable satellite TV with extended sports and film channels and an iPod docking station are offered in each comfortably furnished guest room. All of the air-conditioned rooms include a desk and seating area, a microwave, a refrigerator and a coffee machine supplied with gourmet coffee. A 24-hour reception greets guests of Shore Cliff Hotel. Traditional clay tennis courts are available on site. Guests have access to a business center featuring fax and photocopying services. A daily breakfast is offered to guests of Shore Cliff Hotel. Vending machines featuring snacks and drinks are available. Guests of this hotel can enjoy shopping at Pismo Beach Premium Outlets, just 5 minutes’ drive away. Paso Robles, home to numerous Central California wineries, is 41 mi away. Hearst Castle is 58 mi north of Shore Cliff Hotel.

Shore Cliff Hotel

The Cliffs Hotel and Spa is located on a cliff overlooking Shell Beach. The hotel offers a full-service spa, an oceanfront outdoor swimming pool and a balcony in every guest room. The Cliffs Hotel and Spa features a 42-inch flat-screen TV, a coffee machine, and a work desk. Guests at the Cliffs can use the hot tub or the sauna but please note from 7-10pm, it is adults only. A 24-hour gym with modern cardiovascular and weight training equipment is also available. Marisol restaurant at The Cliffs offers Latin cuisine, indoor and outdoor seating, and live entertainment. Room service is also available. Upon request, a free shuttle service is provided to the San Luis Regional Airport and Amtrak Station. Pismo Dunes Natural Preserve and Pismo State Beach are within a 20-minute drive of the hotel.

Enjoy over 11 miles of trail traversing serene oak woodlands and coastal ridgelines with stunning panoramic vistas of the Pacific Ocean stretching from the Irish Hills to Point Sal. There are several trails to choose from, ranging in distances, to set your own pace, take in the ocean views &amp; enjoy a nature walk. The Pismo Preserve is open every day from dawn to dusk. Hike Pismo Preserve

SLO CAL has around 80 miles of diverse coastline, with waves for every skill level.&nbsp;Another bonus is that many of these beaches do not have the crowds you normally would see along the shores of Southern California. Try the sandy beach breaks of&nbsp;<a href="https://www.slocal.com/explore-the-region/south-coast/oceano/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Oceano</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.slocal.com/explore-the-region/south-coast/pismo-beach-shell-beach/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Pismo Beach</a>&nbsp;and the reef breaks of Shell Beach. The Pismo Beach Pier is a favorite surf spot for area shredders and the site of World Surf League’s Pismo Beach Open.&nbsp;In northern SLO CAL, surfers flock to “The Rock” in&nbsp;<a href="https://www.slocal.com/explore-the-region/north-coast/morro-bay/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Morro Bay</a>&nbsp;to catch waves in the shadow of the 500-foot (150-meter) tall, 23-million-year-old volcanic plug. Nearby is the Cayucos Pier, a good place for beginner to intermediate surfers, and depending on the day, the waves can be big and barrelling or small and mushy.&nbsp;

Surfing

Witness the splendor of the Pacific Ocean up close and personal by kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding. Breathe in the salty air and feel the spray of the surf on your face as you watch for marine wildlife. Adorable sea otters, harbor seals, sea lions, dolphins and even whales are common sightings for those who are out on the ocean.&nbsp;Launch your kayak from&nbsp;<a href="https://www.slocal.com/explore-the-region/south-coast/pismo-beach-shell-beach/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Shell Beach</a>&nbsp;and explore Cave Landing, a series of arches, caves and rock gardens that are only accessible from the water. From&nbsp;<a href="https://www.slocal.com/explore-the-region/south-coast/avila-beach/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Avila Beach</a>, discover calm waters and hidden coves. Kayak or paddleboard to a secret beach to walk up to the historic&nbsp;<a href="https://www.slocal.com/listing/point-san-luis-lighthouse/1837/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Point&nbsp;San Luis Lighthouse</a>&nbsp;or tour the marine habitat in the calm waters of the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.slocal.com/explore-the-region/north-coast/morro-bay/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Morro Bay</a>&nbsp;harbor.

Paddleboarding & Kayaking

A great place to stop off and buy some fresh fruit and vegetables grown locally, pick up a pie or bakery treat, hand feed and pet farm animals, stop off for lunch from the Smoke House and Chicken Shack, or get an ice cream on the way to Avila Beach.

Avila Valley Barn

The Bob Jones trail is a well-paved county-maintained bike and walking trail also known as the City to the Sea Trail. The trail starts across the street from the parking lot on Ontario Road, right off Highway 101, and ends in downtown Avila Beach. The trail is great for all levels of hiking and biking. It makes for an enjoyable, smooth and (mostly) flat ride with trail benches sprinkled throughout. From the trailhead parking lot to the end of the Avila Pier is 3.0 miles.

Bob Jones Trail Head

Perfectly positioned between two of the nation’s most vibrant gastronomic hubs, San Francisco and Los Angeles, SLO CAL attracts many talented chefs and sommeliers.&nbsp;Its relaxed pace and access to authentic ingredients from farms,&nbsp;ranches and the ocean makes it a desirable location to dine. Comfy weather and jaw-dropping vistas enhance the ambiance even more. Farm-to-table wine country dining is just one aspect of San Luis Obispo County’s diverse culinary wonderland. Scrumptious Salvadoran pupusas and mouthwatering street tacos represent a strong Latino culture in the region. Additionally, due to a rich ranching legacy, some of the best barbecue can be found in the West. Date nights can be had over fresh oysters, a bowl of Thai noodles or sumptuously spiced samosas and tikka masala, and enjoy delicately battered fish-and-chips as you breathe in the refreshing ocean air.&nbsp;Michelle and Joel's favorite fine dining restaurants are Ox &amp; Anchor, Ember, Granada &amp; Mistura. Their favorite casual spots are La Tapatia, Woodstone Marketplace, Sylvester Burgers, Sushi 805, SLO Public Market &amp; Palo Mesa Pizza!

Enjoy fresh local produce, hand-crafted artisan foods, crafts, area restaurants selling delicious local fare, live music and fun for everyone! Catch the&nbsp;<a href="www.slorta.org/schedules-fares/avila-trolley/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">FREE</a>&nbsp;trolley into town so you don’t have to worry about parking and you’ll get a free market buck to spend!

Thanks to ideal growing conditions, the wine industry is a jewel in SLO CAL’s crown, not to mention a major draw for visitors. With recognition for its terroir and the gifted people who gambled on its potential, the region has blossomed into the home of several lauded American Viticulture Areas that are known throughout the country and across the globe. Although Michelle and Joel no longer drink, Pam, Lauren &amp; Michael can offer a wealth of knowledge about their favorite wineries in the area!
