U P D A T E

We're counting down the days 'til we P A R T Y with you!!

We are excited that we're able to have a big party in Colorado Springs on 10/29/2021 at The Pinery At The Hill (fingers crossed gathering guidelines don't change again).

We are closely monitoring the CDC and local government guidelines and will notify you as soon as possible if anything needs to change again.

We wanted to let you know as soon as possible so that you can make appropriate arrangements. We have a small room block at the Holiday Inn which also provides free transportation to the venue. There are also several hotels nearby and airbnb's if that's more comfortable for you.

Thank you for your understanding, patience and flexibility as we've navigated planning a celebration in the pandemic.

Our biggest priority is our family and friends, so it'll be a party filled with love and happiness to all be together!

We're looking forward to finally spending time with our favorite people in a safe way!

. . .

We went virtual with our 2020 ceremony!

We were so excited to get married but the current CDC guidelines about gatherings were not in our favor, so we adjusted and went virtual with our vows on 7.24.2020. We know there were some technical difficulties the day of, if you weren't able to tune in please email michelle.golden12@gmail.com for a link to the whole event with sound!

. . .

Alex and Michelle met through mutual friends in college at UNC. Alex studied Business Management and Michelle studied Sport & Exercise Science.

The night we first met we didn't speak to each other, Michelle simply admired how handsome Alex was from across the room. We actually didn't speak until Michelle snuck Alex's phone number out of his friend, Evan's, phone - one of Alex's Groomsmen.

Michelle texted Alex "Hi Alex, this is Michelle... just wanted to let you know we have a date to church next Sunday at 9 am, don't be late :) ". Alex ended up rescheduling our first date to help his family prepare for a trip, he was proud to tell Michelle that Family will always be his #1 priority, so Michelle patiently waited for him to return from the trip to reschedule.

Our first date was in Boulder Colorado, where Alex was born. We walked down by the river and talked about the future we each desired, shared a pizza on the Pearl St. Mall and then drove to the top of Flagstaff Mountain to soak in the city lights. After saying goodnight, we talked on the phone for another hour planning our second date.

After the second date Michelle knew Alex would be her husband someday. At this point, Alex was just hoping Michelle liked him.

Fast forward to September 2, 2018 when Alex proposed to Michelle on the floating firework dock in Grand Lake, Colorado.

Alex had made a plan, he scouted the perfect location, rented a tandem kayak, and in the middle of the lake he asked Michelle to get on the floating dock to take a picture with the Never Summer mountain range behind them... Michelle & Alex jumped from the kayak to the dock and took one photo, then Alex set up the Go Pro to 'take a panorama shot', got down on one knee and asked Michelle to marry him. Michelle was so excited she couldn't wait to say YES!!

Since June 2014 we've been on the best date of our lives, and we're only getting started!
