We were not looking for each other....as a matter of fact, dating was the farthest thing from both of our minds. But fate is funny....we both believe that we were supposed to meet. Call it divine intervention, a best friend not wanting to see her friend sad and wanting her to have someone to relate to, or maybe us being led to each other by something else, but we were meant to meet.

The moment we started talking it was like we could both stop holding our breath. For the first time, someone understood. Widowhood is an extremely lonely journey that most of the World cannot relate to, especially at our age, so having a friend to talk to was huge. That friendship did grow into a mutual respect for one another and then into love.

2021 was brutal for all 7 of us....Blending our family together, choosing every single day to love one another, that is what it means to move forward. We are embracing all that this World has to offer us and we are doing it together as 1 family! We do not take our love for granted as we know how quickly things in this life can change that are beyond our control.
