On the field of Glen Helen Amphitheater, at a music festival in California, our eyes were locked onto each other, and a bond deepened between us - one that would soon blossom into an intense desire to love one another.
Of course, we had met before then, and between our few acquaintances, a curiosity and magnetic attraction developed. Many times, however, we had been set to enjoy one another's company, through circumstances involving babysitting -- but that never materialized.
Eventually, brief encounters became nights of seeing each other, which culminated into a weekend long trip to California. From then on, we were inseparable, eventually moving in after only a month of dating. While the next several years would involve incredible highs, there were tumultuous lows. A particular low felt so deeply, we decided it best to be apart.
A little after this time, COVID was still so new and one of us ended up getting sick. It was in that moment that it clicked for us that we needed to be together and the thought of having anyone else care for them didn’t sit well at all. What appeared to have died on the vine, was suddenly back in bloom. We would slowly begin to rekindle what we once had, as Nathan would come over at night to help walk our dog, Beenie.
Ultimately, after 5 years of growing together, and 6 months growing individually, we decided that this was it. And now here we are, going on 8 years come Wedding Day.
