Our love story all started from a ladies wine night. Jons employer, Sarah, is a mutual friend of mine that attended this night with me. The usual conversation that comes up in our ladies nights is all about my dating life. Sarah mentioned to me that I needed to meet this guy that worked for her. She said we had similar hobbies and thought we would make a great match. Well, we became facebook friends and started chatting.

First date was perfect and simple, an uphill grind of a hike in Juniper. The date ended sooner than we had liked. COVID interfered with our after hike plans of going for a coffee! Second date was a casual 18 holes of golf followed by dinner at the Sandbar pub on the river. After a couple more dates, I decided it was time for my family and friends to meet this handsome man!

We went camping for Friendsgiving at Roche Lake and he fit in just perfectly. After that we made it official, we were a couple! We are all about adventuring and exploring new places! We had an amazing weekend at Sunpeaks, minus the crazy snowshoe adventure we went on. We love hitting the gym and pushing each other to reach new limits! We are called the dream team at boot camp at No Limits Gym!

In April 2022, we made it official and Jon gave up the keys to his place and we moved in together, in the lovely community of Barnhartvale!

Summer 2022 was amazing! We were always out camping and enjoying life to the fullest, as most of you have followed us Facebook! Lol! One of the best summers of our lives! We love each other more and more each day!

On our one year anniversary we travelled to Nakusp and treated ourselves to a weekend at Halycon Hot Springs! We explored the area and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the hot springs. I wondered why Jon was very adamant that we pop a bottle of champagne on the beach before dinner. We sat down the beach watching the beautiful sunset and next thing you know he was down on one knee!! I said YES! Our next journey was about to begin!

A month later, we found out we were expecting a bundle of joy! Pregnancy was very eventful for us but I couldn’t have done it without the support of Jon and my family. We welcomed our bundle of joy, Colson Lawrence Don Redmond on June 26, 2023. This is a very special date as my late father was also born on this day. My dad would have been so proud to share a birthday with his grandson.

This is just the beginning of our love story and planning the wedding is very exciting! We will write another chapter when next year arrives. We will have a busy year ahead of us with a baby and planning a wedding, but we are so excited for Colson to be a part of our big day! We look forward to celebrating our big day with all of ours friends and family!
