Michelle &amp; Mike both grew up on the West Side of Cincinnati, although it took 30+ years for them to finally cross paths.Michelle &amp; Mike went to brother &amp; sister schools, St. Ursula &amp; St. Xavier. Michelle then went on to Miami University for college, while Mike attended St. Louis University. After that, Michelle spent her 20's in Chicago working in marketing &amp; living life to the fullest, enjoying everything the city had to offer. Mike's path on the other hand, lead him into the military serving abroad for two tours, attending law school at Notre Dame, and then beginning work at a Cincinnati law firm. Then, in August of 2014, Michelle was ready for a change, and moved home to Cincinnati to begin her Master's at Xavier University. Michelle remembers her first winter back in Cincinnati, living at her parent's house along with her sister Diane and (now) brother-in-law, Joel. One night in February, 2015, after one too many bottles of wine, Diane cunningly crafted a Match profile for Michelle, against her will. Michelle's mom then tossed her credit card across the room faster than Michelle had ever seen before to seal the deal. A few weeks later, Mike reached out to Michelle and they met at a downtown Cincinnati Reds bar, Holy Grail. They couldn't believe how much they had in common. Both had 3 siblings, 1 adopted, and all 4 parents were born in 1950 and Notre Dame graduates. Mike was interested in Michelle right off the bat, although his focused, serious approach to life made Michelle wonder if he would be "fun enough." Over time, however, Mike proved Michelle wrong as the fun, laughter, and adventures continue on into today. They both grew to realize that while they are both very different people, their gifts, strengths, &amp; personalities complimented each other perfectly.Then this past February Mike asked Michelle if she would take a trip with him to Islamorada in the Florida Keys to "visit with his parents" who were vacationing there. She agreed. On Saturday, February 25, 2017, after a day of boating in the ocean, seeing dolphins, a romantic beach-side dinner and a starry walk on the pier, Mike got down on one knee &amp; asked Michelle to be his wife. Of course she said yes! ... Which leads to why you are reading Our Story. Despite having both grown up only a few miles from each other in Cincinnati, Mike &amp; Michelle had to complete their individual journeys first before they were ready to discover one another and begin the next phase of life together as a team. Again, as they say, timing is everything.
