Things to Do

Walking Distance from the Hotel

Grand Central Market

Wexler's Deli and Egg Slut are our favorites here but you can't go wrong with any of the options

The Last Bookstore

Whether you like to read or not, this bookstore is a sight to see! only a block or so away from the hotel

PERCH

Rooftop bar nearby, the views of downtown are truly special and the drinks are top knotch

Bottega Louie

Nice brunch spot just across the street from the hotel, delicious pastries.

Arts District

We'll be spending Saturday night in this area at Angel City Brewery but there are tons of place to eat and bars to hang out before or after as you wish.

- Wurstkuche: casual mouth watering sausages with vegetarian/Vegan options!

- Arts District Brewery: local micro brewery with a full bar, food and skee ball which can keep you occupied for way longer than you'd expect...

- Bar 82: arcade bar with a great collection of old school games and machines

- Death and Co: we've never been here since you need a reservation but have heard excellent things about this underground speakeasy

- Pali Wine: cute wine bar with snacks, charcuterie and stuff. they offer wine flights too!

Other exceptional food options that would require an uber/driving but are great for a nicer dinner or brunch in no particular order!

- Major Domo (American/Asian/Korean, go with a large group and share)

- Bestia (Italian fine dining)

- Kodo (Japanese fine dining)

- Macheroni Republique (Italian fine dining)

- Kazunori (Sushi Hand Rolls)

- Prince Street Pizza (casual square and classic style pizzas)

- Pine and Crane (Taiwanese deliciousness)

- Mazal (Israeli/middle eastern food)

- Urth Cafe (Popular brunch spot)

-Wake and Late (breakfast burritos)

General Notes about Downtown

Downtown is an incredibly vibrant and diverse area of LA with tons of things to do and places to eat! Like any metro area, there is a prominent homeless population and many of those communities will congregate in certain parts of downtown. We strongly recommend ubering between different areas (particularly the area from Hotel Per La and the Arts District) but the immediate blocks surrounding the hotel are very safe and pleasant to walk around in.

If you have any questions feel free to let us know! I'd highly recommend doing some light googling for exactly what you're interested in, there's really so much in downtown so don't feel limited by our recommendations!
