The New Glarus Brewing Company is an American brewery founded in 1993. Located in New Glarus, Wisconsin, it is an independently owned craft brewery, whose products can only be found in Wisconsin. New Glarus Brewing Company is the 15th largest craft brewer and 25th largest overall brewing company in the United States.
Whether it's live music, a special exhibit, a plant sale, or one of our many other programs, there's always something to do and see at the Gardens.
State Street hosts a variety of shops, bars, and restaurants and is popular for its small-town appeal, street musicians, jugglers and other types of busking, making it a common tourist attraction. Places of interest on State Street are the Overture Center for the Arts, the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Memorial Library Mall.
Address will take you to State Street Brats which is a great place for lunch.
The best way to experience the beauty and grandeur of Wisconsin's Capitol building is to see it for yourself. A sixth floor museum and observation deck are also open in summer.
We aren't just posting a normal movie theater on our things to do list. Place has their own brewery, dinner, and catered to you in your seat. They have the current Box Office Movies, but check the showtimes as they always have one theater that shows classics.
Flix Brewhouse Madison offers a craft movie experience with small-batch beers, tasty bites, and the latest films.

The Madison Mallards are a collegiate summer baseball team based in Madison, Wisconsin that plays in the Northwoods League. Warner Park on Madison's Northside is the team's home field.

Governor's Island is a 60-acre green space in Madison's Lake Mendota. A 3/4 mile easy and paved walking path circumnavigates the island. The Island is reached via a man-made land bridge from Mendota Mental Health Institute on Madison's north side. This space is a popular fishing and kayaking location. It's one of Madison's hidden gems.
Picnic Point, a nearly mile-long peninsula along Lake Mendota’s south shore, is among Madison’s most distinctive features and is probably the most popular destination in the Preserve. Each year thousands of students and Madisonians visit the Point for outings.

Founded in 1911, Devil's Lake is the third oldest state park in Wisconsin, the largest and the most visited. Devil's Lake offers magnificent views from 500-foot quartzite bluffs overlooking a 360-acre lake. Enjoy lakeshore picnic areas, sandy swimming beaches, 29 miles of hiking trails or ease into the backcountry solitude. Devil's Lake is a beautiful year-round park with an intriguing natural history along the 1,000-mile Ice Age National Scenic Trail.
By far our FAVORITE place. Pretty expensive, but the view, drinks, and amazing tapas style menu keeps us going back. MUST TRY THE TRUFFLE FRIES.

Opened in 2010 by James Beard Award winner Chef Tory Miller, Graze serves seasonally inspired dishes in a lively airy venue with sweeping views of the state capital building. Our menu highlights comfort food that celebrates Chef Tory's Wisconsin and Korean heritage through the use of our region's incredible farms and producers.
Not a recommendation but an order. If you have never had Culvers Fast Food before, you have to give it a shot. Even if you don't think you can finish it all, get a burger, cheese curds, and some custard for dessert. (THIS IS RYLIE AND BAILEYS FAVORITE PLACE)
Looking for Pizza? This is our recommendation. One of the larger slices of pizza you will eat and order by the slice. Located in the a mill that was brought back to life. Was our go to while we were renovating our kitchen.
Ian’s pizza Garver is on Madison’s Near-East Side near Olbrich Botanical Gardens in the Atwood neighborhood. You can grab an Ian’s slice, salad, Calliope ice cream, or local beer on tap inside of Garver Feed Mill, a unique newly renovated historic building turned artisan mecca.
Dotty Dumpling's Dowry has been voted Best Burger in Madison for more than 40 years in a row! Dotty Dumpling's Dowry is a Madison institution favored by the locals since it was opened in 1974 by founder Jeff Stanley. Now owned and operated by his daughter, Rachael Stanley, Dotty's is located in the heart of downtown, steps from UW-Madison
Hidden behind Madison’s Historic Train Depot, The Harvey House is a celebration of Wisconsin’s iconic supper clubs. Closest bar to the Hotels, and one of Mikes favorites. Might be because its the only place in Wisconsin he has seen Virginia Tech memorabilia, or because it was his project teams local watering hole for 2 1/2 years while he was building the UW Health Medical Center not even a mile away.
