It all started with a swipe. On a warm late summer day in 2019, Riley and Michelle went on their first date at Ladybird, a local hotspot on the bustling Atlanta Beltline.

Riley had just relocated to a new place in Buckhead. Michelle had just moved into her new apartment a couple miles away. It was a new chapter for both of them. They hit it off instantly, but Michelle's dog Theo, wasn't sure about Riley and chewed up his hand stitched needlepoint wallet early on in their relationship.

Through a combined love for traveling, trying new restaurants, and above all—doing things together, they became each other's go-to person, navigating life hand in hand. After only a few months of getting to know each other, the world experienced a global pandemic that changed everything. They spent the majority of time together during COVID19 quarantine binge watching tv shows and movies, going to the park with Riley's dog, Freddie and Theo, and simply just being there for one another. During a very unprecedented couple of years in the world, the one thing they were consistently sure of, was each other.

In their 5 years of dating, they moved into a new house together, traveled the world, went to tons of concerts, and made countless memories. Together, they've discovered that the best adventures are the ones they create with each other and they feel so grateful for their love.

In May of 2024, Riley got down on his knee on a beautiful beach in Praia Fonte da Telha, Portugal and asked Michelle if she would marry him! After overcoming the shock that left her speechless, Michelle said yes and Riley put a beautiful ring on her hand.

Michelle and Riley can't wait to celebrate March 14th with all of their family and friends, and establish this date as their "forever anniversary."
