In 2017, during their senior year in Mr. Dunagan's English class at Plano Senior High School, Josh and Michelle finally met. Michelle had liked Josh for a few years at that point but had never told him.

Josh thought Michelle was really cute when he saw her in class and began to build a friendship with her. Then, in February 2017, he secretly left chocolates in Michelle’s backpack with a note asking her to be his valentine.

They dated for the last four months of senior year, going to prom, the band banquet, and graduation together. But in July, Josh decided to break up because he was going to UNT in the summer. Michelle’s heart was broken.

After 2 years apart and a lot of growth on both sides, in the summer of 2019, Michelle decided she was done with dating and trying to forget Josh. So, she “accidentally” sent him a message on Snapchat hoping he would notice. To her surprise, he responded.

A few days later, Josh asked Michelle out for breakfast. They caught up on their lives over the past two years. After discussing whether getting back together was a good idea, Josh and Michelle officially reunited on August 17th, 2019.

Since then, Michelle and Josh have found profound joy together, celebrating over 5 years as a couple, navigating life's highs and lows. They began their family with Michelle’s childhood pet Bebe, who passed away in April 2022. They've also welcomed new furry companions into their home, adopting The Outlaw Texas Red and Kinley. Their move into their first apartment marked a significant milestone in their journey together, and the rest is history.
