Our Wedding

There were so many opportunities in our lives to intermingle, but we started dating at the perfect time for us.We've known of each other almost all our lives. We spent a lot of time on the same block. Who else can say that they grew up to love the grandson of the family in their backyard? Or that they only starting dating their significant other, over a year and a half after being in a wedding party together? Michelle can! For years and years, going to friends birthday parties, we used to rely on being able to talk to each other, and that was also for years BEFORE we started dating. After our first date, most of our feedback for our friends were that we both had an uncanny love to talk about anything. Our friends then both questioned us since we technically should have known that about each other.Since we started dating in August 2023, our lives have been filled with crazy adventures. Like learning how to ski (very important to learn for the Rubin family), learning to enjoy pizza (important to the Wilks), going to museums, taking new types of exercise classes, or seeing any sort of zany out of the box show. We have always been authentically our silly goose selves around each other. We hope this is reflected in our special day that you have with us.

Jewish Words you may hear during the night 

Hi all! Although most people invited are Jewish. There are a few who may hear words that they do not recognize. Here is a section for to understand words that may be heard throughout the night. Chuppah: the chuppah is the arch that is covered in flowers where the couple gets married. Kippah: Its the religious head covering that men wear. Beshert: it means meant to be in Hebrew. Michael and Michelle had so many «&nbsp;almosts&nbsp;» before dating, that you can say their relationship is beshert. Ketubah: the name of the Jewish marriage contract. Motzi: It is a prayer thanking for bread.Kiddush: Prayer over wine Horrah: it’s the dance that is celebratory when the couple will join the party after the ceremony. Come in and join! Everyone will dance in a circle (normally with a grapevine step). At some point chairs will be involved to raise the couple. Let's hope Michelle does not scream or fall! Lchaim: you may have heard this even in Black Eye Peas songs. It means to life! Last but not least, MAZAL TOV!: It means congratulations. You will hear this a million times.
