Once upon a time in Pensacola Beach, during the summer of 2022, Tyler and Michelle were both soaking up the sun at the Blue Angels Air Show — completely unaware that they had grown up in nearby towns, shared a few mutual friends, and yet had somehow never crossed paths.

Enter Michelle’s mom, the ultimate matchmaker. She happened to meet Tyler at a friend’s boat and immediately decided he needed to meet her daughter. A short stroll (or swim) later, Tyler was introduced to Michelle on her parents’ boat. A few Jell-O shots were shared, conversation flowed easily, and sparks began to fly — until Tyler waded back to shore without exchanging numbers.

Luckily, fate — and a gentle nudge from one of Tyler’s co-workers — stepped in. He soon realized there was a message waiting in his Facebook DMs from Michelle, asking if he wanted to grab another drink.

Their first date was an instant success: dinner, a few competitive rounds of Connect 4, and espresso martinis to seal the deal. From that night on, it was clear to everyone that something special had begun.
