You have to call the Holiday Inn directly at 1-207-7752311 to make a reservation within our hotel block. You will need code "Wright/Deasy Wedding Block." Please make the reservation by August 1.

Portland is a great mix of outdoorsy activities and city nightlife. We visited Portland several years ago, and were supposed to go back during summer 2020 -- then Covid. So, we are excited to go back (finally!) with all of our family and friends. It's a great jumping off point for hiking, state parks, water sports, etc.

It depends on what type of activities you plan to do. If you want to explore the parks and beaches, then yes, we recommend renting a car. If you book your hotel through our room block, parking is only $10/night. However, there are also ample Ubers and Lyfts around, for those who plan to spend most of their time in the city area. Just be aware of surcharges -- it will be Labor Day Weekend (peak tourist time!).

We are still figuring out the details of the weekend. The primary day of activities will be Saturday, September 4; the rest of the weekend is yours, although we do hope to be able to spend time casually with everyone throughout the weekend.

We are trying to keep the wedding size small, and since the reception is at a brewery, this will be an adults only wedding.

Our hope is that most (and hopefully everyone) will be vaccinated by the time of our wedding in September. Maine may ask you to fill out a health declaration form, although a lot can change between now and September. For the latest information about Maine's Covid-19 requirements, please refer to this website: https://www.portlandmaine.gov/2582/COVID-19-Information. Additionally, our wedding ceremony will be outdoors, and our reception will have an outdoor area. At this point, we ask that everyone bring their masks.
