It all started with a rose on Hinge.
Miguel sent Crystal a rose, and from there, sparks flew. His first impression was that Crystal was smart, funny, and beautiful. She thought Miguel looked sweet and very cute. Luckily for Miguel, he answered Crystal's all too important compatibility question – “what toppings do you order on your pizza”? One seven-hour phone call later, they were hooked.
Their first date: a homemade atole, a Chicago architecture boat tour, brunch, and the Shedd Aquarium. Miguel was nervous, and Crystal was anything but shy (you all know she can talk!). By the end of the day, Miguel deleted the dating app and Crystal followed suit!
Since then, they’ve shared so many “firsts”: first arcade - Crystal laughed so much her face hurt, first trip - New Orleans food tour, of course, and first big “YES".
On July 20, 2025, at sunrise in Garden of the Gods on the Upper Loop trail, Miguel popped the question — a moment he planned early on — and Crystal said YES, with happy tears and a big smile.
9 months in, they’re still laughing, still exploring, binging shows — and now, planning forever.

When should I RSVP?
Please RSVP as soon as possible but no later than October 25th, 2025. We want to include as many of our loved ones as possible, so please let us know promptly if you cannot attend. If we do not receive your RSVP by October 25th, 2025 we will assume that you are unable to attend. Thank you for understanding!
Can we bring our kids?
While we love your little ones, this is strictly an adults only occasion with the exception of children from the family. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us and enjoy the night off!
What is the dress code?
We'd love to see our guests dress up with us! This includes mid/floor length dresses and pantsuits for women and suits for men with a tie optional. Suits not your thing? No worries, we want everyone to feel comfortable and happy - jeans and button down shirt work just as well!
Can I bring a plus one?
In order to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, only the guests formally invited will be accommodated. If you received a plus one, they will appear when you RSVP.
When should I arrive?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:30pm. Guests should arrive 20-30 minutes prior to the ceremony.
Can I take pictures throughout the ceremony?
In order to ensure we are all fully present, we will be having an "unplugged" ceremony. We request that you turn off/silence all phones during the ceremony. We hired a photographer to capture this special moment, and we will be happy to send you any pictures upon request. During cocktail hour and reception, please feel free to take as many pictures as you would like!
What happens after wedding ceremony concludes?
Guests are free to leave the church and enjoy some time off to relax before the reception. Only the bride and grooms' parents, siblings, wedding party, godchildren along with their parents, and godparents will remain in the church for photographs.
Will there be open bar?
Reception will be held from 6pm - 12am, with open bar from 6pm - 7pm for cocktail hour and 1 hour after dinner. Cash bar available until 12am.
What if I didn’t RSVP in time?
If we do not receive your RSVP by the date provided (October 25th) it will automatically be marked as "Not Attending". We will miss celebrating with you but it's imperative we provide our vendors with a final guest count within the time they have given us. Thank you for understanding!
Does the couple have a registry?
We are so grateful for your love and thoughtfulness. While we truly appreciate your generosity, we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing boxed gifts.
How do I get there?
You can drive, schedule an Uber/Lyft, or take the Metra. Metra's Milwaukee District North line Round Lake stop is walking distance from the reception hall. If you choose to drive, there is a large parking lot at the venue.
