Mik earned a Masters degree from Wake Forest University and is currently finishing the PhD program at the University of Georgia (expected May 2026). Kevin earned his Doctorate from the University of Southern Mississippi in the summer of 2022. He started his professor gig at Clemson University and recently accepted a concurrent position as Strategic Communication Director for the Southern States Communication Association.

The pen engagement: Kevin and Mik don't really wear jewelry and Kevin likes to be different, so he proposed with a fountain pen! This engagement pen is the first Montblanc added to their collection. They currently have over 100 fountain pens and there is no end in sight.

What's next: Mik would like to obtain a tenure track professor position upon graduation. Kevin would like to follow Mik whether that means staying in academia or not.
