I was off to follow Gods leading in my life, at this point I was heading from Alberta to Wyoming. Leaving my family, friends and the farming community that I loved so dearly. I was going to Cowboys with a Mission, to study the Word and whatever else God had for that time. My sister and I drove for about 12 hours and arrived at 2am. The first people to get my chipper good morning were Mikaela and McKenzy, two of my DTS school staff. My DTS had 9 students in it, 8 of them girls. My dad would relentlessly bug me every time over the phone, “have you got a girlfriend yet?” Obviously joking because during DTS dating is not allowed. But my response was always a laugh and no, no Dad I don’t have a woman. But outreach came along and I ended up on a week or so long trip up to a different part of Azerbaijan. This trip had a few of the girls and Mikaela and myself. For a day we visited a little family farm, where God started speaking to me about his vision over that land, he was also speaking to Mikaela the same things. In my excitement and love for agriculture I started sharing with her what I was thinking. That turned into me processing and praying about our future together. But it was still during DTS so we couldn’t talk about it. Once I was graduated then we could have a conversation and decided to not talk for two weeks and just pray about Gods direction for our relationship. We decided to start dating on February 16th 2020. On December 3rd we got engaged! Now here we are planning our wedding!
