It's 48 miles from Durango to Silverton but it takes just over an hour to drive. You might want to allow extra time to use one of the many pull offs to stop and admire the breathtaking views.

The road from Durango to Silverton is paved, and to the venue is gravel so no special vehicle is required. However, if you want to go on the trails around Silverton you will definitely need four wheel drive.

Silverton is a mountain town located above 9300 feet. It can be very warm during the day and very chili in the evenings. It also rains most afternoons. We definitely recommend bringing a sweater, umbrella and sunscreen.

The wedding will be semiformal.

The wedding will be held outside (weather permiting) and the reception will be inside the community center.

We are having a traditional southern BBQ dinner.

Most things being served will be gluten free and there will be lots of side options that are vegetarian. If you have specific food needs please let us know.

There will be no alcohol served.

There will be a dance at the reception.

The reception will wrap up around 9pm.
