Mikaela and Ryan met on Lake Quinsigamond, in Worcester MA, on the final weekend of June 2019, exactly 5 years prior to the date of their wedding ceremony. It was perfect happenstance that their paths crossed that day. Their first date happened not one week later, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Despite the fact that Ryan was living in Quincy while Mikaela was living in Canton NY, these two managed to spend just about every other weekend together.

The pandemic gave them the unexpected opportunity to transition from being in a long-distance relationship, to living under the same roof, sooner than they anticipated. While this may have seemed daunting to the still-new couple, Mikaela and Ryan embraced the opportunity with open arms, and flourished.

Ryan proposed to Mikaela on October 30th, 2022 at the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain; a place where they had one of their first “city dates,” as they like to call them. Whether exploring unfamiliar parts of their own city, or jettisoning around the world, Ryan and Mikaela are always looking for their next adventure together. With any luck, getting married will be their greatest adventure yet!
