Jacob and Mikaela both had the pleasure of working for a company named Cowgirl Tuff, and that’s where their story begins.

In 2020, Mikaela was working at the Cowgirl Tuff retail store in the St. Cloud mall. Jacob was working at the corporate office in Cokato, MN and was asked to swing by the store to pick up a pair of boots - This was the first time they met. After their encounter, Jacob spent some time trying to learn more about who Mikaela was, but without much success. This was brief, but it marks the beginning of their relationship.

In 2021, Cowgirl Tuff closed down their retail store in the mall and Mikaela was asked to come and model for the company as she was finishing up her schooling to become a nurse. She accepted the job and spent the summer of 2021 at the corporate office of Cowgirl Tuff (This came with much excitement to Jacob, lol). Jacob and Mikaela then spent the summer getting to know each other, and yes, yes there was definitely some flirting going on.

This brings us to the Fall of 2021, where Jacob & Mikaela spent a weekend working at music festival event together for the company. With the help of all their coworkers who could clearly see they liked one another, it was brought to light that the feeling towards each other was indeed mutual. At the conclusion of the weekend, Jacob built up the confidence to ask Mikaela on their first date, which would then happen the next day.

The two would then go on dates whenever their schedules allowed the time, and Jacob would officially ask Mikaela to be his girlfriend in September (One month later).

The rest is history. The two have very similar interest, competitive levels, and love for being around others. This makes them almost inseparable as they both want to be doing the same things, whether that’s Mikaela playing football with all the guys, or Jacob going shopping and trying to get Mikaela to try on every dress they see.

Jacob popped the question and the two became engaged in April of 2023. The past year+ has been an incredible test of their patience not being married NOW (They do not recommend a 15 month engagement to anyone lol) so to say the bride and groom will be excited on June 14th as they begin their life TOGETHER, well that would be an understatement.

They both want to thank everyone who has supported them throughout their relationship thus far. There are a lot of things in life that can be bought, but friends and family like you who have been there for us every step of the way, that’s worth more than anything money can buy.

They cannot wait for you all to join them as they continue to build their relationship on Jesus, surround themselves with those they care about, and start the rest of their lives as husband and wife.
