Q + A

What time should I get there?

Please arrive at 5:00pm (eastern time) to be ready for the ceremony that starts at 5:30pm (eastern time). Remember to account for the possibility of: elephants in the road, inclement weather while driving, a solar eclipse, congested traffic, car engine failure, road construction, and Bigfoot.

Can I bring a plus one/my children?

Due to a meticulously crafted guestlist and venue capacity, we kindly ask that you do not bring plus ones and/or children that were not listed on your invitation. Thank you for your understanding!

What do I wear?

Because sometimes deciding on what to wear to a wedding can demand way too much thought, we will attempt to give some direction. We talked about it, and we think the phrase we want is semi formal. But because we aren't even sure exactly what that means and it's all subjective, here's what we're thinking: For men we're thinking the following or something similar to it: dress pants, button up shirt, tie is optional. A suit would also be fine. For women we're thinking the following or something similar: Summer dress or semi formal dress or pant suit. And nothing white of course. Ultimately, we don't want you to stress about it. We just want you to be there with us!

Are the ceremony and the reception in the same location?

Yes! Because neither of us have ever really been party bus people.

Is there free parking for the ceremony and reception? And is it easy to get to?

Yes, and yes! Those of you who know Alex well know that he is all about free parking, so there is a large parking lot directly adjacent to the venue.

Do you have a registry?

Yes! To see it, return to the homepage of this website and select the "Registry" tab. Whether it's items to build our home together, honeymoon funds, gift cards, or $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ we appreciate your gifts!

What is the address for the ceremony/reception venue?

The venue is Bell Manor and the address is 739 Musgrove Rd. Chillicothe, OH 45601. It is out in the country and one of those locations where once you turn off the main road you might not feel like you're in the right spot, so please take a look at more detailed directions under the "Travel" tab.

Is the ceremony/reception indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting. The reception will be indoors. When you walk from the ceremony to the reception, for the shortest of moments you will be both indoors and outdoors at the same time.

Is there a cocktail hour between the ceremony and reception? What about an open bar?

Light refreshments will be available between the ceremony and the reception. And because Mikalyn looks way better in photos than Alex does and there will be more pictures of her, he may just show up to the reception on his own to start eating. There will be no officially sanctioned alcohol at the wedding and please do not bring your own alcohol. The venue is under strict regulations and can lose their liquor license if people bring their own alcohol. If you do, you're paying for our next vacation!

Do you have a block of hotel rooms available for guests?

Yes! Reservations can be made at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Chillicothe, OH. Please see the "Travel" tab for more information. Make sure to book by July 17 to get the discount! They do have a pool if you get tired of hanging out with us at the reception. And breakfast if you need coffee because you did a few too many non-officially sanctioned drinks the night before.

Are there things to do nearby?

Yes! We'll do a favor to Fairfield Inn and Suites and increase their clicks on their website. For a list of activities nearby, go to this link: https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/cmhch-fairfield-inn-and-suites-chillicothe-oh/experiences/

What if after reading this Q & A section with these stupidly worded answers I still have a question?

Please ask us! You know how to get a hold of us. We are not too busy and don't think that you're bothering us if you need something. We want everyone to have an enjoyable experience, so if needing to ask us something will do that, then please feel free!
