Mikayla and Caleb were set up by Mikayla's college roommate and best friend, Kristen. Her and Caleb had worked together on campus previously, and she had a feeling these two would be a match made in heaven. Sure enough, her inkling was true! After Caleb and Mikayla conversed for a few weeks over text, they met for the first time. He drove all the way to Purdue from Southern Illinios (almost 5 hours) to meet her. This was where he had been re-located for his job since graduating from Purdue 2 years prior. They met for lunch and went to the Purdue vs. Ohio State football game, which ended with a Boilermaker victory!

Just over one month later, Mikayla invited Caleb home to meet her family. He went shooting with her dad, brother and cousin, and after seeing how good of a shot he was, she decided she was ready to make their relationship official! His connection with her family may have played a part in her decision a little too . . . or a lot! ;)

After almost 2 years of officially dating, Caleb popped the question on the beach, while they were on vacation in Gulf Shores, Alabama. They are looking forward to starting this new chapter of life together, and cannot wait to celebrate with all of their favorite people!
