We met at a softball tournament in September 2022. It was my first tournament playing with my friend Amanda and the team she put together, so I didn't know everyone on the team. I first saw Alex from a distance and thought to myself, he is so cute, then when I got closer I still thought the same thing, but he's short! LOL! We started texting and talking after the Halloween tournament we played on together. I friend-zoned him due to not being in the head space and thinking I was not ready for a relationship. So we created our friendship and became each other's best friend. After a few months of talking every day and spending every moment together, I finally came to me senses and realized how I had the most amazing man in front of me. I had everything I've ever wanted in a best friend and in a partner for life. He officially asked me to be his girlfriend on February 12th, 2023 (hint: Aiden's (his oldest son's birthday). After spending 10 months together, Alex asked me to be his wife on November 24, 2023. There is no one better in this life for me then this man! I love you Alex, today tomorrow and forever!

I remember standing by the fence talking with the team and turning around to see mikayla walking up. I asked who it was and was just told she was single. I laughed and said okay, we had small conversation due that and exchanged info ( yes she made the first move ). After the halloween tournament and months of talking I realized how special this woman was. I pursued her a little hard at first and was told that we would be friends, it was the best thing to ever happen. I got to get to know her and every special person in her life as a friend with no expectation of boyfriend, which had me falling more and more for her. I finally grew the courage to ask her to be my girlfriend after my sons birthday, a short 9-10 month later i realized I didn't want to spend a day without her. so i asked her to marry me and its been the best decision of my life and I can not wait to marry you.
