In 2021, at the height of a global pandemic, , Laura & Mikayla began their relationship on facetime as Mikayla assited in a Covid ICU and Laura reported on the viruses impact. They found the peace they needed in each other. Finally, their first in-person date! It was Valentine’s day. They went to a rooftop restaurant in Northern California, ate Cheeseburgers, and changed their lives forever.

Fast forward, the two moved in together in California, working, studying, and dreaming of what was next. It was Boston. Both were offered new jobs, with the same start date. It was a no brainer. They arrived on the East Coast and hit the ground running. While supporting each others work and passions they always made time for each other. Among their favorite activities, movies, traveling and dancing in the kitchen.

On June 30th 2023, Laura proposed at Mikayla’s favorite place in New York City, Bethesda Fountain. Laura promised her love, support, protection, and whatever other words she managed to form. Mikayla said yes.
