Our Story

Picture of Our Story

Although we may not know "exactly" how we met, we are both so sure that the Lord led us to each other. Nathan and I were complete strangers that just so happened to somehow be friends on social media, with mutual friends. After over a year of Nathan attempting to reach out to me (which consisted of him complimenting me, me thanking him for the sweet compliments and him not taking the conversation any farther lol), we finally started talking daily and the rest is history! Fun fact, I was hesitant to talk to Nathan at first because I thought that he lived in Ohio full time. I thought, well he is cute, but this just isn't realistic with him living ten hours away. I guess that's why you should never just assume things because I soon found out that he was just temporarily in Ohio for college. And luckily, when we started talking, he was headed back out to Ohio after his Christmas break to start his last six week session of college. Those six weeks consisted of us talking daily and FaceTiming every night when Nathan got out of his night classes. We had to wait six whole weeks to actually meet each other in person, but oh, was it so worth it. The first time we met was something we both will never forget. With us living two hours apart our entire relationship, often times we would have to meet somewhere in the middle for dinner. The beginning of our relationship was challenging because I was wedding coordinating at the time, meaning most weekends, often Friday-Sunday. Basically, Nathan and I had opposite work schedules which faced us with challenges from the start. We certainly will not miss the times when we would go almost three weeks without seeing each other.

I then decided that working as a full time wedding coordinator was not for me and that's when Nathan and I's relationship grew even stronger, when we got to spend more time together. The distance we have had to endure throughout our relationship was a great test for us as a couple. It tested our patience and our willingness to sacrifice for one another. Nathan did not once hesitate to make a four hour round trip to come see me.

We have both prayed for our future spouses, and that we would be so blessed find the person that Jesus had planned for us. We are so thankful that the Lord answered our prayers and allowed us to pick each other to love forever. We have made so many memories in the last three years and have introduced different lifestyles to each other. Although we wish we had lived closer to one another, we would not change a thing about our relationship because it has made us who we are as a couple today. Here's to a lifetime of love and happiness together, our story has just begun!

Love,
