Power and Light District

50 E 13th St #200, Kansas City, MO 64106

PNL has a lot of bars and restaurants! A must see if you have never seen it/been to KC! They do "Hot Country Nights" every Thursday in the summer (a different country artist performs every week)!

Website

Country Club Plaza

4706 Broadway Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64112

The Plaza has great shopping and restaurants! It's actually a replica of Seville, Spain. You will see a lot of Spanish architecture and fountains...KC is the City of Fountains!

City Market

20 E 5th St #201, Kansas City, MO 64106, USA
(816) 842-1271

The City Market is one of our favorite places in KC! On the weekends they have a farmers market where you can get fresh made flower bouquets, produce, fresh baked Amish pastries/breads, etc. Walk around the market and look at all the local shops filled with local restaurants, a coffee shop, some fun specialty shops, and some specialty grocers. A great way to get here is to hop on the KC Street Car and stop all along KC!

Bar K

501 Berkley Pkwy, Kansas City, MO 64120, USA
(816) 474-2275

Need your doggo fix? Come get a drink and/or some food and enjoy this dog bar! Paul and I love to take our dog, Pac, here!

National WWI Museum and Memorial

2 Memorial Dr, Kansas City, MO 64108, USA
(816) 888-8100

History Buff? The WWI Museum is a cool spot to hit up! This is across the street from Union Station, so you can hop on over there when you are done!

Union Station Kansas City

30 W Pershing Rd, Kansas City, MO 64108, USA
(816) 460-2000

Union Station is such a historic staple in our city. It is still in use to this day! Walk around and grab a drink at the restaurant inside. They usually have some type of museum going on that you can get tickets to as well (they had the Holocaust Museum a few years ago and it was amazing!)

*This is right next to the KC Street Car, so its easy to get around the entire city!

Boulevard Brewing Company

2501 Southwest Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64108, USA
(816) 474-7095

If you love beer, doing a Boulevard Brewing tour is a MUST! Tickets are typically around $15 and you get A LOT of beer. If you don't want to do the tour, this is still a great spot to grab a beer (they typically have an "experimental beer" they are trying out on tap before it's ever released to the public that you are able to try)...definitely a must do.

West Bottoms

Our wedding is on a "First Friday" weekend, which is a big thing in KC! Wander the West Bottoms on Saturday (6/7) morning/afternoon to find food trucks and LOTS of cool antique shops (there's a lot). They also sometimes have live music! Fun fact: Paul and Mikayla's second date was in the West Bottoms for "First Friday's."

Weston, MO

540 Main St, Weston, MO 64098

Weston, MO is only ~15 minutes from Jowler Creek Winery (the wedding venue)! It has a lot of cute and unique shops, a coffee shop, some local Weston wineries, some restaurants, and is home to the famous O'Malley's Pub. O'Malley's Pub is hidden about 60 feet underground in the cellar of the Weston Brewing Company!

Weston is also known for all of their Bed and Breakfasts!

Green Lady Lounge

1809 Grand Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64108, USA
(816) 215-2954

Hit up a popular KC jazz club! Green lady has a top and bottom floor with 2 different jazz bands playing! After your finished, pop right next door to The Black Dolphin, their sister jazz club! Fun Fact: This is where Paul and Mikayla had their first date!

Black Dolphin

1813 Grand Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64108, USA
(816) 215-2954

This is Paul and Mikayla's favorite jazz club in KC! The Black Dolphin is a little more "low key," as Green Lady next door is typically a little busier and more upbeat!

Swordfish Tom's

210 W 19 Terrace, Kansas City, MO 64108, USA

Want a speakeasy that is actually a speakeasy? This place is hidden down an alley with a staircase leading down to a building's basement...if there's a "red" light, the living room is full and you will have to wait. If there's a "green" light, knock on the door and enter into a small speakeasy that holds a lot of KC history!
