Nathan wrestled at Lawrence Central High School, and after college decided to go back to coach there, where he met Mikayla Vega who landed a big job in Lawrence, and decided to coach at the local High School as well. She didn't believe Blank was Nathan's last name and that he was messing with her when they met. Now the joke is on her.

Almost a year later Mikayla told Nathan to take her on a date, they went to Cheddar's, Beech Grove Bowling, and Culver's, the trinity of a perfect date. Nathan claims it was the best date of his life but wasn't sure if she would accept him for being Catholic and Asian. 3 days later, they went on a second date, to the Eiteljorg Museum, then they toured St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where they went to Sunday night mass and had their first kiss during the sign of peace. On October 4th, 2024 Nathan asked Mikayla to be his Girlfriend

Mikayla cheers on Nathan to the Indiana Folkstyle state tournament. He got 2nd at 74kg for ages 18-23!

The Proposal:

For their 6 month anniversary, Nathan asked his buddy Jarren who is a police officer to "Arrest" Mikayla with a warrant that says "Wanted for Marriage- Mikayla Vega" with her favorite picture on it! Then Nathan popped the question. Their friend Tom (best man) is also disguised as a hobo to take the pictures seen here.

Mikayla claims she had quote a "Gut Feeling" and was "On Guard" the whole time, but we all know she likes to pretend and we let her believe that.

They go to Eagle's Nest, the restaurant Nathan promised to take her if they ever got engaged

After 6 months of classes, Mikayla is finally baptized into the Catholic Church. Tom Lonsway (best man) decides on purpose to stand in front of the picture wearing a dress

Mikayla is confirmed into the Catholic Church

Mikayla receives the Eucharist (the body, blood, soul, and divinity of God) for the first time

Nathan decides to desecrate St John's by dancing
