This love story started like any modern fairytale...on Tinder. Messaging back and forth for a while until it was time to finally meet face to face. Meeting on Genie's favorite night of the year, Halloween, she was ready in her Freddy Krueger striped dress. Mike seemed ready for weird (or maybe he thought this was just a Halloween outfit). After spending time getting to know each other over a couple drinks, too nervous to eat the food ordered, it was time to hop on a school bus to a haunted house. This first date really set up the relationship perfectly. Adventurous, quirky, and fun.

The next date started with dinner and went into the morning hours after bowling and playing pool. This is when Genie knew she found her person. Nothing in the outside world mattered. It was just the two of them having fun and spending time together. Everything else would be just fine. For someone who was not very adventurous or thrill seeking, Mike sure brought that side out.

These past five years have been filled with travel, tattoos, friends, family, pets, and just overall happiness and adventure.
