Our Wedding

In March of 2022, Mike and his family were on their way home from a ski trip in Park City, Utah, when a long and unexpected flight delay at the Salt Lake City airport changed everything.At the same time, in Denver, Rachel was navigating her weekly commute to Salt Lake City for work. Upon arriving at DIA she was drafted to work her commuter flight (a rare occurrence in the aviation industry) which lead to a series of schedule changes &amp; her to be assigned to the flight Mike and his family were waiting to board. Despite the frustrations of their respective mornings, the universe was quietly at work, ensuring their paths would cross on DL745 from SLC to BOS.Was it love at first sight when they locked eyes during the cabin walk-through (still wearing masks for covid), or a perfectly timed move when Mike made his way to the back galley — just to start a conversation? Either way, anyone who knows Rachel and Mike will agree: this was the beginning of something truly special.They quickly bonded over sports, good wine, a shared love of music and travel, and their mutual dream of learning to play the guitar (a lifelong goal that’s still on the to-do list). Over the next six months, they visited each other every chance they could. By September 2022, Mike packed up and moved to Denver, where they spent a year exploring Rachel’s home state of Colorado, nurturing their relationship, and confirming that Mike was fully committed to his new role as a full-time cat dad.In November of 2023, Rachel and Mike made another big move — this time back East to Boston with their three beloved pets — to be closer to Mike’s family and Rachel’s work.On a chilly Sunday afternoon in January of 2025, just shy of their three-year anniversary, Mike got down on one knee in their home and asked Rachel to spend forever with him. They are overjoyed to begin this next chapter together and can’t wait to celebrate their love with all of you!

We kindly request that you help us celebrate our big day in cocktail attire. This is a step above semi-formal but not black tie, we recommend suits or jackets for men and full length or midi dresses, jumpsuits or elegant separates for women. Our ceremony &amp; cocktail hour will take place outdoors on a farm with various terrain (areas of gravel &amp; grass) block heels are recommended.To honor wedding tradition, we respectfully ask that guests avoid wearing white. We appreciate your consideration of our dress code and look forward to seeing everyone looking their best!
