What is the dress code for your wedding?
Semi-formal or cocktail.
What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?
Please arrive to the church by 1:30pm to allow for everyone to be ready for the ceremony. The ceremony will be a full Catholic mass from 2:00pm-3:00pm.
Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?
There will be about a 3 hour gap between the end of the ceremony and start of cocktail hour. Please visit our Things to Do section if you would like some ideas of things to do around the reception area.
What time will your wedding reception start and end?
The reception will begin at 6:00pm with cocktail hour followed by dinner and dancing that concludes at 1:00am.
Is there parking available near your wedding ceremony and reception venue?
Yes! There is plenty of parking at both locations and both locations are wheelchair accessible.
Where do I go once I’ve parked?
There will be welcome signs at both locations so you’ll know you’re at the right place. At the ceremony, there are doors on both sides of the church that you can enter. At the reception, our grand ballroom is on the right side of the building. There will be a tv screen (Crisp/Schmidt Wedding) indicating which doors to enter.
Have you reserved blocks of rooms at a hotel?
We did! We have a block under Crisp/Schmidt at the Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago/Lincolnshire. Please visit our Travel tab on our website for more information.
Will there be a shuttle to and from the hotel and reception?
Yes! We will have a complimentary shuttle running between the Hampton Inn and the reception. Check our Travel tab for information on times.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
Please leave us a note when you fill in the RSVP section and we will do our best to accommodate plus ones.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
Yes! We love children! Please let us know when you fill in the RSVP section how many children will be attending. We have a children’s dinner menu consisting of crisp chicken tenders with french fries and the chef’s choice of fruit instead of the adult dinner.
What type of food will be served at your wedding?
We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner. The dinner consists of bread, soup, salad, filet mignon finished with a burgundy demi-glace and chicken breast with a creamy champagne sauce, au gratin potatoes, and seasoned carrots and zucchini. Following that will be cake and desserts served with tea and coffee. A late night snack will also be provided to continue dancing throughout the night!
Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?
Of course! Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies when filling out the RSVP section and our reception will make accommodations for you.
Will there be an open bar?
Absolutely! We will be having an open bar during cocktail hour and after dinner, a champagne toast, and unlimited red and white wine during dinner service. Please enjoy yourselves but drink responsibly!
Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home. Also, a wedding card box will be at our reception.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding and can I post them on social media?
Absolutely! We will love seeing all of the pictures taken by everyone. We will be having a QR code where guests will be able to upload their favorite pictures/videos from that day! Also, if you would like to post them on social media, please tag us!!
