FLIGHTS

For those of you that do not live in southern California, we recommend flying into San Diego or Tijuana.

Don't forget your passport! Especially if flying into San Diego — it feels weird to bring a passport for a domestic flight. Mike made this mistake once :) If you have Global Entry you will need your physical card for the land border crossing and it must be activated beforehand.

GETTING TO VALLE

Bruma is about a two hour drive from the San Diego airport, depending on US/Mexico border traffic. We will arrange transportation for those flying — please send us your flight information so we can ensure the shuttle schedule works with your flight.

FOR THOSE DRIVING

Global Entry and SENTRI are highly recommended to reduce border wait times crossing back into the US. Your car must be registered for SENTRI and all passengers in the car must have Global Entry. You cannot take a rental car through SENTRI.

Find live border wait times here: San Ysidro | Otay Mesa

US auto insurance is not valid so you must purchase Mexican insurance for the days you will be there.

Take the 1D toll road for stunning Pacific Ocean views. You will hit three toll booths on the way to Valle which charge less than $3 each. They take pesos or USD and we recommend bringing change or small bills as they do not accept larger bills.
