Mike & Ross’ journey began with Mike’s first husband, Bob, who met Ross at an event in the early summer of 2000. It was through Bob that Mike was introduced to Ross, and from that moment, the three of them formed a strong friendship. Ross quickly became a beloved member of the family and an integral part of both Mike and Bob’s lives. With each passing year their friendship grew stronger, often sharing countless family dinners and vacations together. During the years of covid, Ross was a constant presence, practically living with Bob and Mike every weekend.
Ross’ love and support was especially instrumental during Bob’s various health issues. He provided immense comfort to both Mike and Bob through these emotional times. Bob, knowing his health was declining, would often joke “when you and Mike get married, don’t let him have the remote.” It was a running joke around their home and proved just how light-hearted and fun their relationship truly was. Sadly, Bob passed on September 23, 2023, but not without one last joke for the ones he loved so dearly – “when you get married, don’t let Mike buy anymore t-shirts or socks!” Ross, once again, proved to be a blessing in Mike’s life and to his family during this difficult time.
With Bob's memory and blessing, Mike and Ross have decided they’d like to officially tie the knot in October. They know Bob will most certainly be with them in spirit, smiling down, and sharing in their love and happiness.
