We have a wedding block reserved at the Courtyard Marriott Salt Lake City Cottonwood found on our site. If you’d like a more mountain resort feel, you can stay at the Solitude Mountain Resort village which has a spa, restaurants, hiking, and a mountain biking park. Guests may also choose to group up and rent a cabin in Big Cottonwood Canyon and the town of Brighton.
How do I get there?
There will be two shuttle busses departing the Mariott hotel to transport people up the canyon to Brighton. The shuttle will stop at Solitude Mountain Resort if we have guests stay there. Shuttles will run continuously down the mountain back to the Marriott following dinner until 1230am. We encourage guests to Uber/Lyft to the Marriott and take the shuttle for safe transportation up and down the mountain. There is also free parking available at the Marriott. Rideshare apps will be less reliable directly to/from the venue. There is ample parking at the venue for those who wish to drive.
What will the weather be like?
The wedding will be at a hybrid outdoor/indoor space. September on the mountain will be dipping its toes into fall weather with some leaves likely starting to change. Average temperatures at Brighton are a high of 70 and low of 43 degrees. Average temperatures in the valley are a high of 82 and low of 57 degrees. It will be chilly at night. Rain is unlikely, but there will be a contingency plan at the venue if needed.
