Mikhaela and Cameron met in 2020 like any other couple in their 20’s… online! After months of chatting and Cameron telling Mikhaela how cool his Lego collection was, they decided to finally make time to meet in person.

Mikhaela was living in Waterford, WI with her parents while Cameron lived in Janesville, WI with two of his buddies (shout out to Tyson and Sam). During her winter break while going to school for an EMT program, Mikhaela was kind enough to make the 1 hour drive to go and see him and the rest was history. For the next year the two would take turns making that dreaded 1 hour drive to brighten up the others day.

Fast forward one year and they got their first apartment together in Whitewater, WI. A lot of good memories were shared in their first venture living together but it was not missed due to inconsiderate neighbors and a cockroach problem that would not get fixed. Next, the couple moved to Janesville, WI to a nicer, newer apartment in hopes to be their last apartment as they search for their first home.

Mikhaela and Cameron love to travel, whether it’s with family or just the two of them. One trip they will never forget is when they went on a week long trip to Montana with Mikhaela’s family in September of 2024. Little did Mikhaela know, Cameron had bought an engagement ring way back in February of 2024. Knowing this trip was coming up, he didnt know how, but he knew that that is when he was going to do it. So after months of planning and stressing on how he would propose, ensuring it would be a perfect moment, he decided he couldn’t wait any longer and proposed on day 2 of the week long trip (good thing she said yes!) which was not part of his initial plan. Though, a beautiful mountain backdrop at Yellowstone National Park isn’t half bad, right?
