Our Wedding

October 4th, 2022.Tom is on a holiday with two of his teacher friends in Arequipa, Peru. On a sunny Tuesday, they are enjoying one too many glasses of wine on a terrace when they spot a sign next to them saying that a chocolate workshop will start soon. With nothing planned for the rest of the day, they decide to join the workshop to learn more about the history of chocolate as well as make their own. Milena, on the other hand, has booked one too many days in Arequipa, and after seeing all the highlights, she doesn't know what to do here anymore. She remembered that the guide from her walking tour yesterday told her about this chocolate shop, where they also hold workshops. She decided to sign up for the same day. But wait! An hour or so later, she starts debating whether she should really go. Is it not strange to show up by herself at a romantic-couple workshop? She almost cancels, but, for the lack of having anything better to do, decides against it and goes. While not sitting next to each other (you can see Milena's leg in the picture if you look really well), the connection was instant. Milena thought to herself, 'I need to subtly invite myself to dinner with them after this workshop' whereas Tom thought the same, 'How do I get her to come to dinner with us?'. After the workshop, we started talking about life and noticed we have a lot of things in common! Legend says that at the dinner, Milena was kicking Tom under the table, trying to get his attention. Milena denies to this day that this happened. The next day, Tom sent Milena a message telling her he would love to take her out for dinner if she found herself back in Lima at some point. But Milena had no plans returning to Lima whatsoever; she already had her flight ticket to Costa Rica. But oh well, how could she pass on a date with Tom? So alas, she flies back to the city, and the rest is history.
