Millie is the daughter of Randy and Sheila Wiggins. Growing up with her two brothers, Millie’s family traveled and lived all over the western US before settling in Casper, WY. She spent her school years playing the violin, swimming, and volunteering in various ministries at St. Anthony’s.
She graduated from Natrona County High School in 2007, and then attended Michigan State University, where she graduated with a B.S. Psychology in 2011. She returned to school in 2016, and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.
Millie works as an emergency room nurse, and finds great joy in caring for her community. She continues to volunteer with the church, and would like to extend a special thank-you to her mom for introducing her to her first classroom, where she learned to be the fastest hot glue gun in the West.
Jason is the youngest son born to Domingo (Joey) Ceralde and Cindy Ceralde (nee Schoolcraft). He grew up with two older two sisters and one older brother in Silverdale, WA. His childhood consisted of daily family dinners, helping with the family's fruit trees, and going to Mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Bremerton.
He graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 2007 and studied Landscape Architecture at the University of Washington graduating in 2012.
He began volunteering in youth and young adult ministry at Star in 2013 and has continued to be involved for the last 11 years.
Jason is a Professional Landscape Architect in Washington State.
Given that they lived and worked 1200 miles apart, it might seem unlikely that Jason and Millie should ever meet (although they have a lot in common, including being the same age, their volunteer work in ministry, and both having studied in Rome during college). However, nothing is impossible for the Lord (or Catholic Match).
Millie was the first to reach out on Catholic Match in March of 2023. She said, “I knew I didn’t want to miss out on meeting Jason.” What began as messaging, turned into phone calls, a standing weekly video date, and several visits in both Washington and Wyoming.
Their first in-person visit was in August 2023, when they began to officially date (even though Millie did reportedly refer to Jason as "her boyfriend" weeks earlier). The Lord's will seemed undeniable as He continued to guide them in their discernment and prayer life.
They began a book study about intentional relationships and their next visit together helped to confirm what they both had been thinking and dreaming about.
Early 2024 was marked with several visits back and forth between the rain of Washington and the frigid cold of Wyoming.
Following another book study in which they worked together to consecrate themselves to our Lord's merciful love, they had a fruitful visit together in which they asked for Millie's parents' blessing on their intention to marry. This conversation landed on Randy and Sheila’s 38th wedding anniversary in which they imparted wisdom about the early years of marriage.
On June 12, 2024, after praying a rosary together in the Newman Center Chapel, Millie said "yes" to Jason's proposal to marry. Tears were shed.
Jason spent most of Summer 2024 in Casper, getting to know Millie's family and the St. Anthony's community. And they worked together on many projects including the pews in the Newman Center Chapel. If you have a chance you should go check it out.
