Milu's Story:
Where do I start......
On Dec 31st, 2020, I was scrolling away on Dil Mil at my cousin's New Year's party. While my cousin was singing his heart out to the song Chingamaasam. I got a message from this guy named Alex. We spoke for one whole week. The conversation was alright, but things shifted once we spoke on the phone. We immediately connected and spoke the entire night. During that conversation, we found out that our cousins were getting married to each other, but both of us wanted to give this a chance and keep this a secret until we were ready to tell everyone.
When I met Alex for the first time, we had the best weekend in New Jersey and both of us fell in love with Bagels & Loxs, so much so that whenever we are traveling, we always get a Bagels & Loxs in that city.
Alex is very open-minded and patient with everyone. He goes along with my crazy ideas and adventures. Alex does not enjoy traveling as much as I do, but he always makes the effort to make me happy and he emphasizes the importance of taking risks. When we met, we had completely different tastes and personalities. But in the last few years, we were able to build something unique together.
I enjoyed that were able to be sarcastic with each other, I enjoy our cooking date nights, and I am so grateful that you let me be my extra self
Lmaoo. But what I am most grateful for is, that we can trust each other. Trust for both of us is very important and it took us a while to overcome our fears, but here we are! About to get married to one another!
Looking back, I am so grateful that I met you. You have taught me that love is what two people build throughout the years.
Sincerely,
Your biggest fan <3
Alex’s Story
One of my favorite moments with her was my first interaction on the phone with her. We first started off with our fake “how are you” conversation, but an hour into it we found out that our cousins were getting married next year, and that is when all of our walls came down. That was the moment that I knew that there was something special here. She is one of the first people I talked to that I could let my guard down with.
When we first had our in person meet up one of the things we've found ourselves loving was lock bagels. So much so that we have gotten one on every single one of our trips. That is what I love about her, whether it's the big things or the small we always make time for the things that matter to us the most.
My favorite day with her was the day that I proposed. Many of you who know me, knows that I don't plan things out. I'm more of a wing it kind of guy. But for the proposal I took an extra 6 months to plan, because I knew she deserved everything and more for that moment. But even though I was stressed out and freaking out that morning, She was able to calm me down and we were able to practice our first dance the morning of which I will always cherish.
After dating her for the past three years I have realized that she is the Ying to my Yang. For all my flaws and mistakes that I make, she will put up with all of it. I am forever grateful that I have met this wonderful woman in my life and I can't explain how lucky I am to have the privilege to spend the rest of my days with her.
