Our love birds’ story starts in one of their favorite places with one of their favorite Clemson Legends. Though both went to Clemson and overlapped for three years, they never crossed paths until a few years later at a home football game. They both had mutual friends in town for the game and everyone decided to meet up at Tiger Town Tavern.

Here, they all started getting to know each other until Mimi shouted, “Charlie Whitehurst!” and ran out the front door. Aaron, who wore a Charlie Whitehurst jersey to school picture day in both the 3rd and 4th grade, ran after Mimi. They found him walking across the street with his girlfriend at the time and asked if she would take their picture. As they were in disbelief that 1) they both knew who Charlie Whitehurst was and 2) were able to get a picture with him, they simply overlooked the fact that his “girlfriend” who took their picture was in fact the famous singer, Jewel.

From there, they started a great friendship that turned into a relationship at the end of the following year. They then moved to the Raleigh Area together where they have been for the past year and a half (and are loving it, so please visit)! Aaron tried to keep the proposal as much of a secret as possible, but Mimi was suspicious, as always... They cannot wait to start the next chapter of their lives together!
