Chad and I loosely knew each other for a few years thanks to our good friends, the McDougal's, who hosted EVERY single chiefs game. Well, Chad was always there in the back drinking beer and working the grill or whatever it is he does back there. Meanwhile I'm up front hooping and hollering, doing shots, you know all the game day activities. Since I have season tickets, whenever I would go to games I knew Chad would be there, so he would answer my face time calls so I could still see all my peeps. FINALLLLLLLLY, after who knows how long Chad got in his feels watching a hallmark movie and decides to send me the text "Do you want to go out, or is that a bad idea"? He says well, "you always gotta leave yourself a way out".

Obviously I accepted the date, first date Twisters taco night in Bonner Springs. Chad decides he likes me enough, so he ups his game and surprises me with our next date to Garozzo's, and I'm like okay, wow, now I'm interested! There was a lot of fun and traveling back and forth between our houses over the next 2 years. Chad's older bulldog, Nasty, and my 1 year old Golden retriever, Finn, became besties. Lots of rides in the jeep to get pup cups and cruise around. We were so sad to lose Nasty, and are very lucky we have Finn to help fill the spot in our hearts. He may be making a surprise appearance at the wedding, stay tuned!

Last summer we traveled to Ireland with our families. After 8 days into the trip, Chad decides to pop the question while standing at the edge of the Cliff's of Moher. It was a breathtaking view. I was so shocked my first words were "Are you serious". We celebrated the Irish way that night eating and drinking with our friends and family in Galway Bay.

We are extremely lucky and blessed to have each other and cannot wait to celebrate our love story with you all.
