Mindy and Austin met on a trip with friends to Gatlinburg, TN in May of 2017. Flashforward to February 2018 when Mindy needed a date to a sorority dance and had just the guy in mind. Austin said no.

Thankfully he changed his mind a few hours later 😊

After the dance the two talked everyday. In April Austin drove down from Ball State (Muncie, IN) to IU (Bloomington, IN) where Mindy was at school . Their first official date was to see a movie at the local movie theater.

Mindy said 'I love you' first... after too many water longs at Kilroys...

In March of 2023 Austin took Mindy back to Bloomington under the guise of going to a basketball game. While walking through campus they passed through the Sample Gates where Austin got down on one knee and asked Mindy to marry him ❤
