We met through the magic of Tinder in Mindy’s senior year of nursing school. Gary watched Mindy struggle with clinical and school work, all the while they stayed up far too late talking every night. We spent Mindy’s spring break in Las Vegas with her college friends and discovered how much we love to explore after we hiked in Zion National Park on this trip. Since then, we have traveled the world together and fell in love while exploring. Over the years we have been lucky enough to travel across the globe together and we can’t wait to plan our next trip.


We moved into our first TINY apartment together during the pandemic in May of 2020, where we met out fur-son, Moose the Bichon (stay tuned for his grand entrance on our wedding day, with the help of Jake Hanson!). We moved to Minneapolis in October of 2020, where Gary continued working from home, but we had a bit more space to spread out, and Mindy finally got off the night shift and we started having a bit more normalcy as a family. We successfully bought our first home in July of 2022, which has come with its own unique challenges, and Gary has become quite the handy man. We have also had our fair share of hardships losing Mindy’s Mom and Gary’s Dad in the matter of 4 months, but we can feel their love all around us each and every day.


Gary, FINALLY after 5 years of Mindy waiting (and pestering), popped the question after Mindy got off work when we were spending a quiet early Christmas celebration at home before flying out to Colorado to be with Serena, Rose and Zac. We had agreed nothing crazy this year, so Mindy had gotten Gary..... sweatpants. After Gary opened this monumental gift, Mindy opened hers, which was a box full of packing peanuts she had to shift through, and found a ring and looked up to Gary on one knee!


We cant wait to continue our story together, and are so blessed by everyone around us who plays a role in our journey. We cant wait to celebrate with you all on September 20th!
