Our Story

Here's how it all began...

We first met back in May 2020 while playing True American at a birthday party.

Not long after, Mings COVID bubble had a few June birthdays to celebrate and they booked a cabin weekend in South Carolina. One of our friends couldnt make it, and after having so much fun at the True American birthday party, Ming suggested the group invite Stuart to fill in the last spot and offered to give Stuart a ride so that he didnt drive by himself.

A few days after we got back to Atlanta from the cabin weekend, Stuart invited Ming over to make dinner for her. At this time, Stuart didnt know how much Ming loved to cook and how much she loves food. To this day, Stuart claims this was the worst meal he has ever cooked. Ming gave him another shot, and the fennel orechiette Stuart made managed to redeem his cooking skills. At some point that year, Ming convinced Stuart to drive from Atlanta to San Francisco to visit her family for a month. Barely 4 months after that first dinner, we embarked on our first cross-country roadtrip.

Weve done that same trip two and a half more times since. Half because we moved to San Francisco in April 2024, and there was no return trip this time. Over the years we have grown our hobbies and amplified each others interests and best qualities. Neither of us could imagine doing the things we do today without each other.

Stuart proposed to Ming on a day trip to North Georgia in June, 2023. What was disguised as a fishing day with camp fire steak sandwiches turned into a surprise proposal (you have all seen the video to prove it). And here we are, more than a year and plenty of wedding planning paralysis later, inviting you to join us in celebrating our marriage!

Our Wedding Ceremony

On Friday December 6th, we had a private ceremony on Carmel State Beach, just south of Monterrey. It was a beautiful, sunny day with little to no wind. The beach was quiet and empty, the perfect place to commemorate embarking on the journey of life together. We celebrated our day over a delicious dinner, and spent the weekend in Carmel.
