MIRA:

I first found out about Jordan's existence one night in 2018 when my friends and I went to a house show. The only person I remember from this event was this handsome man who was singing "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran while his friend played the guitar in the background. I had no idea who he was but I gave my friends the look to let them know that he caught my interest, but I assumed I'd probably never see him again. Flash forward to 2019, Jordan and I joined the same Bible study and after a couple conversations, lo and behold, he was the guy from the house show!! Over the next couple years, Jordan and I formed a solid friendship where I'd constantly make fun of him and he'd laugh it off. Even though we had no feelings for each other, the summer of 2021 came around and proved us wrong. Our friends often made comments about how giggly we were together. We both played it off but it slowly became more obvious how we felt about each other. In October 2021, Jordan and I were in the car talking about our favorite artists and I couldn't come up with an answer before the car ride ended. So he confidently told me he'd like to hear what my answer is on a DATE. Which I had screamed in shock before I awkwardly said yes. The next couple years, Jordan proved himself to be the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Through many obstacles in our path, he remained faithful to God's leading and to me, and showed me Jesus' love, joy, and patience along the way. On October 8th 2023, Jordan and I decided to recreate our first date but this time he asked me to marry him!!

JORDAN:

I met Mira one day in 2019 after I had joined a Bible study she happened to be a part of. We easily became friends (as she tends to do with everyone she meets), which began many days of us debating the best musical artists, me helping her with math and Spanish homework, and watching horror movies with friends until way too late into the night.   Our friendship continued to grow for a couple years as we got to know one another. In my eyes we had a pretty normal friendship, but as the latter half of 2021 rolled around, some of my guys would insert her name into conversations and “remind” me that she was single. After a few of these reminders, and some input from her friends, I decided that I would see if our friendship could be anything more. One evening as I was driving her home from a friend’s house, I asked her to rank her top 5 singers in order. Knowing she didn’t have enough time to answer, I said she should think about it and she could let me know on a date! After waiting an eternity (in my head) for an answer, she said yes and two years later, on October 8th, 2023, we got engaged!   These past two years have shown me that Mira is the woman that I would love to spend the rest of my life with. She’s strived to understand me. She has shown me what selfless love is like in the way that she has loved me and the way that she loves the people in her life. Lastly, she doesn’t judge me for my addictions to ice cream and yogurt. She is without a doubt a gift from God and I can’t wait to marry her.
