Wedding Party

"Meeting Miranda was like finding a needle in a haystack. We both attended the University of Minnesota and were paired as random housemates at an off campus apartment in dinky town our junior year of college. We immediately became best friends and it felt as if we had known each other our entire lives. She feels like one of those people who perfectly complements and adds nothing but joy and happiness to your life! My favorite memory with Miranda was when Miranda came to visit me in Minneapolis while she was living in Wausau going to grad school. She brought her paddle boards and we spent the day paddle-boarding around the lakes near my apartment. It was such a simple day but the best quality time with my favorite person! Quirky fact - in college, me, Miranda, Ryann and Josie were roommates and we all only had brothers. To settle fights and little arguments we would wrestle and it would immediately solve our problem. I haven’t met anyone who like to wrestle more than them!"

"Jordan and I met when he was but a few hours old. He was my first best friend in this world, my partner in crime in raiding our parents cupboards to playing in the snow outside. A story about us: I could go with so many here, including his resolve to get up from hit after hard hit in the Edgar football game and it made me realize we have a team captain, even though he was only a sophomore. But I’ll go with the one where he killed his biggest buck. My brother that year wasn’t even positive he wanted to hunt. He decided to hunt but not get into the buck pool (his loss). We drove over together that morning, considering we were sitting a couple hundred yards apart. After explaining to Jordan where his hang on stand was located, I made my way back to my own blind. I swear, I was just getting my stuff all set up that morning when I heard Jordan fire, he preceded to follow that up with another quick shot. I could feel my phone vibrate shortly afterwards. It was Jordan explaining how he shot a big buck. I explained to him that it was minutes into opening morning and to continue hunting. After about a hour I got some on the ground photos of Jordan’s buck, he couldn’t resist himself and neither could I. I walked over and saw Jordan by his buck, it was a stud! I was so proud and happy for my brother, I was grateful that I was the first to see him after that and be a part of that experience with him!"

"Miranda and I met in the 6th grade! We were both on the DCE swim team and swam at the YMCA. In the last 14 years Miranda has become our 4th Barry sister and holds such a special place in our lives. Being friends with Miranda, I have gained not only a lifelong best friend, but also a second family! From joining their family vacations, to keeping tally of how many red velvet cupcakes my mom ate at my cousin's graduation party, we have so many silly and sweet memories together. I have been lucky enough to witness Miranda go through many stages in life and feel so blessed to be able to be by her side for her wedding. Jordan and Miranda complement each other so well and I am so excited to see them take this step together. "

"The best thing about brothers is you are born with the best friends god can offer. I was lucky to be born with two of them. Jordan has always been the empathetic, honest, and peaceful brother. One of my most fond memories growing up with Jordan was when we were little he would always try to find our Christmas gifts hidden in the house. I remember him asking for my help as he was trying to get access to look in the attic upstairs of our house and also looking under the ceiling tiles in the basement."

"Miranda and I met when we were randomly assigned to be co-clinicians in graduate school. What are the odds of finding a lifelong best friend in a randomly assigned partner? Obviously, the odds are in her favor, considering she found her future husband in the same graduate program! I have loved watching you grow pre-Jordan up until now. I’m so happy that you found your partner for life. I can’t wait to be a part of your big day. Love you endlessly!"

"Jordan and I first met in college at UW-La Crosse before he transferred to Stevens Point. From La Crosse to Point, Wisconsin to Colorado, or wherever he is traveling for work we have always taken time to visit each other and connect. One of my favorite memories was a trip that Jordan took to come visit in Colorado. He was staying with us for a week but we still had to work during the week. We come home to find Jordan did the dishes, walked and gave all the attention to our slobbery 140 lbs senior Mastiff, and found a little time for some video games too. With no expectation, he still found a way to go above and beyond. It is a moment I truly understood how genuine and sincere he was. I know it is something that spills over into his relationship with Miranda and a quality I know will serve their journey together so well!"

"Miranda and I met back in college and became really close after living together our junior year. It was a really busy year for both of us; we were both working multiple jobs, taking too many credits, and figuring out our futures- but in the midst of all of that, we developed a really amazing friendship. Between the late nights we’d spend talking in the kitchen, to the spontaneous nights out on the town, almost every memory I have from college includes Miranda. She’s a great friend, a huge jokester, an amazing confidant, and the only person I’ve ever seen eat oysters straight out of a can, haha. She’s an incredible friend, and I’m so excited to stand by her side as she begins this new chapter of her life with her best friend. "

"Jordan and I have known each other for a pretty darn long time. Growing up in Park Falls everyone knows everyone and a lot of us played sports together. There was a short time in football where Jordan was quarterback and I had to be the center. Jordan had to get a little handsy with me at times so you could say we got to know one another pretty well. Over the years we have continued growing our friendship and have even started a yearly tradition. Good ol' Coffee Retreat! One thing that we will forever cherish together is our BBB. Big Booty Brothers. Much love ❤️"

"My husband and I met Miranda when we were meeting up with Jordan for lunch (the two boys went to HS together). Not too long after that, the pandemic hit and we "quarantined" a lot together. We had such a good time, that those were some of my favorite years! We were also lucky enough to have Miranda and Jordan park their RV in our backyard for a summer, it's not an exaggeration to say we were heart broken when they left. I've basically been waiting for them to get engaged since I first saw them together. They're very obviously perfect together. I feel like I've known Miranda forever and my husband and I are excited to continue creating fun memories with two of our best friends 🤍"

"Jordan and I are childhood friends. We grew up together playing sports and also broke our noses playing basketball. Before Jordan headed out to go travel, they spent 3 months living in our backyard. If it wasn’t for my wife and I, Jordan would've been homeless for 3 months. "

"Hey! I’m Trina, the soon to be sister-in-law! Miranda and I met shortly after my own wedding to Jordan’s older brother, Jacob. While I love the Armstrong boys, I’m selfishly excited to finally have another female to balance out all the fantasy football chatter (IYKYK) and do some more traveling/adventuring. More National Parks, perhaps? Let’s avoid the East Coast…"

"I know Jordan. He's my man. He likes many things. Like other Jordan's can. We met through family friends. His mom. My dad. The sibling bond that transcends. We drink many beers and have many cheers but throughout the years, the fears, and the tears, Jordy is the companion that still appears."

"Miranda and I first met in 3rd grade at a mutual friend's sleepover. At the time we went to different elementary schools, our paths didn’t cross again until 6th grade biology class. We bonded over our how “weird” our teacher was, how difficult it is to find jeans for tall girls, and the seemingly countless projects/assignments—which of course she’d remind me to stop procrastinating on. Little did both of us know, that would be the start of a life long friendship. I’ve had the pleasure of watching her grow from awkward teenager into the amazing human she is today. From friendly debates on politics, sleepovers, brunch at log cabin, boy talks (which definitely included the “cute boy from her speech class”), to whatever crazy idea I’m about to jump head first into…. she has been nothing less than a light of compassion, kindness, and giving. I’m excited and honored to be apart of this milestone."

"I first met Jordan in the spring of 2020 after my sister had just crashed her car. Since then, I’ve seen how good of a guy he was to Miranda and how whenever he was around it was always a good time filled with laughs and fun. I haven’t gotten to hang out with Jordan that much but the best time I've had with him was was seeing how bad he sucked at golf when I first met him."

"Miranda and I were friends in college, so I met Jordan shortly after they started dating. Jordan and I have gotten to know each other pretty well over the last few years, and one of my favorite memories with him was a weekend trip to Michigan. Jordan brings a good time wherever he goes, so that entire trip was a blast, whether it was playing cards, hiking, or just hanging out!"

"Jordan and I met at UWSP after he transferred from UWL. It didn’t take long for Jordan to enter our friend group and become one of my closest friends. We have shared a lot of great times together, but the one in particular that I will always remember was our road trip out west after graduation. We drove over 4,000 miles and visited five national parks along the way. This trip was filled with life long memories and it is one that I will cherish forever."
